The client asked ABM to design an efficient home tailored to their simple lifestyle. Operable windows are placed in a way to maximize natural ventilation and take advantage of the mild climate in Southern California. The forms of the home as well as the materiality are informed by the context of the neighborhood which is filled with homes in the California Modern style.
