The corporate offices for Stone Energy is a 78,000 square foot office building built on the banks of the Vermilion River. This building uses natural shading and daylight harvesting techniques to keep the building cool and well lit and increase its energy efficiency. It was the first building in the Lafayette area to embrace sustainable building design.
Careful consideration was given to the sloping site, maintaining much of the natural beauty and foliage. It is important to capture the context and spirit of each site, each project. To design a building which respects what is there and becomes a part of rather than an addition to.
